Welcome to The Famous Royal Navy Volunteer, affectionally known locally as ‘The Volley’, we do things a bit differently here!

We only serve beers from UK 'genuine' craft brewers, a cracking wine list put together by our friends at Tom I'Anson Wines and  an extensive range of spirits from craft distillers here in the UK.

We also have a beautiful 'secret' roof terrace, a versatile function room and a large restaurant area - all of these are available to book for parties, events and meetings.  We even have a dedicated events manager, Cristi, to help you make your event smoothly.  So please visit our meetings and parties page to find out how we can help.

Food wise, we are purely focused on producing delicious 'pub grub' within a seasonal menu involving as many local suppliers as we can.  Along with superb Sunday lunch which is extremely popular so booking is advised!

You really can’t have great products without having staff who are passionate about them and about the customers.

We take the same pride in our staff as we do in our products.  We scour the county for the best in UK craft beer, so it’s only right that we scour the corners of the West Country to find the best people to serve it.  

We believe in exciting drinks, exciting food, and excited people.

Beer Library

Bored of the boards? We want you to explore UK Craft Beer with us, so we’re working with all our brewery friends to create the Volley Beer Library. You’ll be able to visit the library and see which beers are on the pumps and which are coming soon. You’ll also be able to browse through one of Britain’s best beer lists to see all the beers your favourite brewery makes.

 

There’s a lot of beer out there, and it’ll take us a while to add them all, but we hope the Beer Library will be up and running in a month or so.
