The Famous Royal Navy Volunteer has been part of King Street since 1673.
Today, independent British brewing and a proper Sunday lunch give you every reason to linger.

Start with a wander around Bristol’s Old City, then settle into our Grade II* listed pub opposite the Bristol Old Vic. Thirty-six lines of independent beer and cider make the bar a good place to begin.

Bristol Old Vic is opposite the pub, making us an easy meeting point before a performance. Check the show time, choose a meal from our lunch or evening menu and let the team know your plans when you arrive. You can enjoy the occasion without turning dinner into a race.
