Scope and responsibility

This policy applies to the website for The Volley at navyvolunteer.co.uk. It should be read with our privacy policy. Each Scarlett Pub Co website uses a separate, host-only consent choice, so a choice made on another venue's domain does not automatically apply here.

Scarlett Pub Company Ltd (company number 08209109) is responsible for this website. Mozztec IT manages it and handles privacy and technical enquiries on Scarlett Pub Company Ltd's behalf at [email protected].

Cookies and similar storage

A cookie is a small text file saved by a website in your browser. It can hold an identifier or setting so the website can operate, remember a choice or understand how it is used. First-party cookies are set for navyvolunteer.co.uk; third-party technologies are provided by another organisation, such as Google.

Browsers also provide storage such as local storage. It is not technically a cookie, but similar privacy rules can apply because information is stored on or read from your device.

How your choices work

  • Essential technologies are used only to provide the website, keep it secure, remember a setting you request or record your cookie choice. They cannot be switched off through the consent notice.
  • Analytics is optional. It is off by default, and Google Analytics is not loaded by this website unless you affirmatively accept analytics.
  • You may accept analytics, reject non-essential technologies or review the details before deciding. Rejecting analytics does not prevent ordinary use of the website.
  • We retain the encrypted consent record for up to one year and ask again when it expires or when a cookie not covered by the saved choice is registered.

No advertising, remarketing or other marketing-cookie category is registered on this website.

Registered first-party cookies

This inventory is generated from the first-party cookie categories registered for The Volley, so optional analytics cookies appear only when analytics is configured for this host. Third-party storage used by embedded content is described separately below because it is controlled by the external provider and cannot be listed from our register.

Always active

There are some cookies that we have to include in order for certain web pages to function. For this reason, they do not require your consent.

We use these for internal research on how we can improve the service we provide for all our users. These cookies assess how you interact with our website.

Preference storage

If you choose light, dark or system appearance, the site may store that value in an appearance cookie and in browser local storage. The local-storage value is not shown in the cookie table because it is not a cookie. It is written only after you make an appearance choice, is used only to provide that requested setting, and remains until you change it or clear your browser's site data.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 is currently configured for The Volley. If you consent, the Google tag loads and may collect online identifiers, pages viewed, interactions, browser and device details, and approximate location derived from your IP address. Google provides aggregated reports that help us understand and improve the website.

The analytics cookies and browser lifetimes are shown in the live inventory above. Separately, we configure Google Analytics user-level and event-level data to be retained for up to 14 months. Aggregated reports may remain available for longer. We do not use this implementation for advertising or remarketing.

Google may process information outside the UK. Read more in Google's privacy policy and data-transfer frameworks.

Maps and external content

Venue pages embed Google Maps in an iframe which loads automatically as part of the page. The browser contacts Google, which may receive your IP address, browser details and the referring page and may use its own device storage. Google Maps is external content rather than part of the first-party cookie inventory above, and loading it is not controlled by the analytics choice.

The provider is Google. The immediate purpose is to deliver the interactive map; Google may also use information and storage for its own service delivery and security purposes. The names and durations of any third-party storage are set by Google and can vary by browser, account and Google configuration. Google explains its use of cookies in its cookie information.

Booking and social-media links also open third-party services. Their cookies and device storage are controlled by those providers after you follow the link. Browser privacy or content-blocking controls can prevent external requests, but the embedded map otherwise loads automatically when the venue page is viewed.

Change or withdraw your choice

Use Manage consent in the footer at any time. It resets the saved choice, removes known first-party Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page so you can decide again. Withdrawal applies from that point forward; it does not undo processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Without JavaScript, or if you prefer browser controls, open your browser's privacy or site-data settings, find navyvolunteer.co.uk, and delete its cookies and local storage. You can also block cookies in browser settings, although blocking essential cookies may stop security, session or preference features from working correctly.

Changes and contact

We update this policy when registered technologies, providers or legal obligations change. The last-updated date appears at the top. A newly registered cookie that is not covered by your saved choice triggers a new decision automatically. For other material changes, we review whether the existing consent record must be reset before the change is introduced.
